Born September 7, 1930, Sonny Rollins passion is jazz and the tenor saxophone. We are super happy to learn from the Jazz Foundation that he will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award, October 22, 2015 at the Jazz Foundation of America's 14th annual gala, "A Great Night in Harlem." It occurs at the historic Apollo Theater in Harlem and it will most certainly be a great night.
